The Club Lounge of the Ritz Carlton in New York, with its corridor-like length and low ceilings, was a slightly awkward space to work with. In order to draw the guests in, I had the idea to create a flowing vegetal rug, evoking the Central Park vegetation just outside the windows.

I spent a few weeks drawing on a ten-meter-long scroll in order to create this truly unique design and then supervised the whole sampling and production process with Couristan.
